The great and glorious masterpiece of man is to know how to live to purpose.

The soul that has no established aim loses itself.

There is one quality more important than "know-how" and we cannot accuse the United States of any undue amount of it. This is "know-what" by which we determine not only how to accomplish our purposes, but what our purposes are to be.

For the cause that lacks assistance, For the wrong that needs resistance. For the Future in the distance, And the good that I can do.

Preservation for what?

Do not dare to live without some clear intention toward which your living shall be bent. Mean to be something with all your might.

I think we're here for each other.

The purpose of life is a life of purpose.

Live for something.

The only true happiness comes from squandering ourselves for a purpose.
